On November 16, 1954, Elvis received a check for $82.50 that was a payment for "sessions 11-15-54". According to Sam Phillips, the slow version of 'I'm Left, You're Right' was recorded on December 18, 1954, but this could have been the date that the demo acetate of take 5 was made.
A Sun session log of these recordings (Dec. 8, 1954) existed in 1982 according to RCA although they didn't have a tape. Later it has been suggested that the notes were forgery work. According to DeWitt (Elvis:The SunYears) the song 'Juanita' may have been attempted during this session as well. (His information is often based on personal information of musicians and other people who may not always remember or may have an interest in protecting their stories.)
Recording session may have taken place between December 12-20, 1954. RCA never got the master tapes of 'Milkcow Blues Boogie' and 'You're a Heartbreaker'. Tape transfers of the SUN 78 RPM were used. Three clicks can be heard at the end of 'Milkcow Blues Boogie'. (The time between the clicks is 1/78 minute.)
